Meet Kristen Perteet, The Women's Cut's Newest Contributor 

Kristen Perteet is a lifelong South Side Chicagoan, Cubs fan, writer, and nonprofit leader with a passion for baseball and community impact. She is the co-founder of Be The Miracle, a Chicago-based nonprofit she has helped lead for more than a decade, empowering youth through leadership and educational programs.

A graduate of DePaul University, Spertus Institute, and Illinois Media School, Kristen has previously written for Sports Divas Inc., Sports Mockery, and Radio Facts. She is also the co-host of the On The Go podcast and was one of the original members of the Chicago Clubhouse Network.

When she’s not talking Cubs baseball, Kristen enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog. She dreams of one day lending her voice to true crime documentaries on ID or Oxygen, a goal inspired by her early experiences in entertainment, which included singing in a group and recording a Sybaris commercial. Her favorite sport to play is volleyball, but baseball has always been her first love.
